I received the call to the Gospel ministry just a few weeks after I committed my life to Jesus Christ in January 1970. Throughout the decades, Dorcas and I have been ministering in various ways, predominately pastoring churches.

When I was introduced to the Internet around 1996 I realized it was a great medium by which to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the life giving principles of the Word of God. I acquired a free web site with Geocities, then used back-up and additional sites on other free servers.

In the spring of 2008 the conditions seemed right to establish a central web site which would consolidate much of my Internet ministry into one place.

I was not quite sure what to call it at first. I like blue and, though I don't own many gems, I like gems. I have one web site with the word "oasis" in it. In addition to this, I had began to write a series of children's stories called Ponderings Pond. Well, a pond and even an oasis might have a stream flowing into so the phrase sapphire streams came to mind.

Blue reminds me of heaven and many times in the Word of God it symbolizes that which is of heaven. And here is Exodus 24:10: "And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness."

Sapphire is also one of the twelve foundation stones of the heavenly new Jerusalem:
Revelation 21:19 - And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
