Facets Of Biblical Fasting

As we draw near to the end of the Gentile Age it is imperative that those who belong to Christ remain in Him and increase their devotion to the Lord inwardly and outwardly. Biblical fasting is a tool to enable us to accomplish these objectives.

It is highly significant that we find the subject of fasting in both Old and New Testaments. Many who were godly embraced fasting as a spiritual tool as well as a treasure in itself that drew them closer to their heavenly Father. If we embrace Biblical fasting we will eventually find ourselves embracing our Lord Who directed us to fast.

By the grace of God, in these podcasts we will examine many passages in the Holy Bible that speak of fasting, and we will also present a number of temporal tips regarding fasting.

Some of the New Testament Scriptures that we will be using throughout these studies do not have the words fasted, fasting, fast in the oldest manuscripts which were not available at the time of the production of the Authorized Version. The Authorized Version was based upon the Received Text, as is the New King James Version (NKJV), Young's Literal Translation (YLT), the Literal Standard Version (LtSV), and some others. However, for certain reasons I feel it is God's will that we accept most of the so-called additions to the New Testament as we have them in the NKJV and other decent translations.
