This truth is alluded to in the interesting account in Mark 8:22-26 where Jesus prayed twice for a blind man in order to see. After being prayed for the first time, the man told Christ "I see men like trees, walking." Christ prayed for Him again and he saw perfectly. One thing we may learn from this is that, indeed, when we surrender our lives to God through Christ we begin to see, but we must continue to come to Him for increased spiritual insight. And, at the publication of this page, I have listed a podcast below that will give you much more information about that passage which actually has some roots in Genesis 3.

As I have written on the main landing page for Spiritual Insights, by the grace of God and ONLY by the grace of God He has helped me to see many things in the Holy Bible that I did not see as a young Christian, and I feel impelled to share them with you and future generations.
Regarding the Gospels and Acts, one more example is the account in John 3 where Nicodemus comes to Christ at night. That entire discourse is abundantly full of spiritual treasures that not only touch upon salvation, but also a number of other things such as the return of Christ, the spiritual reality that the existence of a true Christian is not confined by space and time (John 3:13, cp Ephesians 2:4-6, et al.), exactly what it means to be "born of water" (John 3:5), and aspects of being led by the Holy Spirit (John 3:8).
Fellow Christian, may God bless you with spiritual insights so you may help strengthen The Body Of Christ.
