'Tis the season for predictions. When this Bible GemLight was written, 2009 was coming to a close, with 2010 just over a couple of days away.
Just like clockwork, if you go to a food or convenience store about this time of any year one can find the tabloids bristling with so called insights into the future by some popular soothsayers.
In over half a century I have heard numerous predictions, the majority of which never came true. The horrid spector of Y2K arose in 1999 spreading rumors that computer systems all over the world would crash because they were not geared to compute the year past 2000. All during that foolishness I had a very old computer in the living room, probably built in the early 1990's. Twiddling with its settings I could see it easily could have gone past 2000.
Hopefully you know how some soothsaying works. All you have to do is make numerous predictions. If you make enough predictions, one of them is bound to come true. You then point that out that success to a very gullible society. Soon, you are rocketed into the limelight.
Yet, all this while sits a Book, the Holy Bible, that people often do not read. However, if they read it, and did some research, they would see that Holy Bible prophecies come to pass with amazing accuracy.
One of the greatest examples of the fulfillment of Holy Bible prophecy (Isaiah 66:8) was the re-establishment of Israel in May 1948. Most people today have no idea one could not find Israel on a map before 1948. Akin to this is the fact the Holy Bible indicated that Egypt and Syria would still exist in the latter times.
Nonetheless, after being scattered over the face of the earth for almost 2,000 years, from the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD to 1948, God saw to it that Israel was politically and geographically birthed again.
This will eventually lead to them being spiritually born-again, but before then we can expect every prediction of the Word of God leading up to that time to come to pass with great accuracy. It is written in Luke 21:22, "For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled."
While that might sound harsh, we need to keep in mind that God has extended His loving mercy to us through the cross of Christ. And just as sure as Holy Bible prophecy will be fulfilled, He will indeed fulfill His Word that He will rescue from sin and eternal damnation those who come to Him in wholehearted commitment.

"O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates and thy gates of rubies, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD, and great shall be the peace of thy children." --- Isaiah 54:11-13
