If one really studies the Holy Bible, they will find that an astounding number of prophecies that it contains have been already fulfilled.
Centuries before the Christ was born, the prophet Micah (5:2) said, "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."
And, indeed it came to pass. The Christ was born in Bethlehem (not Jerusalem as the Book of Mormon states), and John the Baptist heralded the fact that the Kingdom of God was at hand. Jesus, the Christ, set forth to establish His holy kingdom, with its foundation in His life, death, resurrection and ascension. He told his disciples that the kingdom established was without observation, that no one could say it was established in one geographic location. The kingdom established was a universal one, in that every one who commits fully to Christ becomes part of that kingdom. So, currently His kingdom is a spiritual kingdom.
However, know of a certainty that surely one day His kingdom will be political and geographical. Prophecies in Daniel point to this fact. There is also that prophecy in Revelation, the phraseology of which is used in Handel's Messiah: "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever." (Revelation 11:15)
Just as Micah 5:2 has been literally fulfilled, without a doubt the prophecy of Revelation 11:15 shall be fulfilled.
Each person that has come into the world has an option, whether to remain in the kingdom of darkness, or enter into the kingdom of light, of Jesus the Messiah. To reject the kingdom of the Messiah is to remain in the kingdom of darkness, and become part of those prophecies that include sorrow and damnation. However, if one commits fully to Jesus Christ, they become part of His kingdom, the kingdom of light.
This is that kingdom that will be victorious and filled with a multitude of blessings. I trust that you will choose to be part of His kingdom today.
