There were a number of reports of young people committing suicide in the weeks before this GemLight was written. Some of those cases mentioned bullying. Others mentioned some type of mockery or embarrassment by others. In a way, that could be considered bullying too.

Many of us who are older ran into bullies ourselves, and perhaps some of us were bullies. However, in recent days I have been hearing of suicides as a result.

To a degree, God has been shoved out of schools since the 1960s. Of course God remains everywhere but most folks just want to shut Him out of their lives, and some folks want to shove Him out of other lives also. Either way, this leaves more room for Satan to maneuver.

Think there is no such thing as Satan? Christ said there was, and termed him a murderer in the Gospel of John.

Satan is the main bully and the human school bullies are just his puppets. However, Christ has defeated him and we need to take advantage of that victory.

Prayer to God through Christ is one of the keys. It is good to know with all the malarkey of separation of Church and state, prayer does occur in our schools.

Those of us who personally know Christ should be interceding through spiritual warfare. While we know that Satan is the current prince of this world, as mentioned, we know he has been defeated in Christ.

While folks will talk about throwing money at the problem, creating seminars, re-education classes and more, nothing will work as well as fervorent prayer that trusts in the supreme King, Christ Jesus. Looking to the time that He would die, be raised and ascended, Christ said in John 12:31, “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.”

If we want the school bullies to cease then we need to latch on to the power of John 12:31 through prayer and obedience. For (Ephesians 6:12), " For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
