At the time this GemLight was written, it was nearing the start of the school season in most of the United States. Shoppers were finding that many stores were loaded with back to school items. Pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks and more caught the eye of patrons, with some items being very inexpensive.

Schooling is indeed important, and many have deprived themselves of a better life by not completing at least their high school education.

Worse is when people forget, or in the very least place in a low priority, their spiritual education. While our bodies are constant reminders we need to provide for our physical needs, greater than that is providing for our spiritual needs. After all, once we die (or go in the rapture), that is it. We then stand before our Creator Who will consign us either to eternal damnation or Eternal Life, and respectively set the degrees of punishment or awards according to the good purpose of His will.

So it is best to start using your spiritual school supplies. If you do not have a copy of the Textbook, the Holy Bible, there are copies readily available in North America, some of which are very inexpensive if one looks in a second hand store or a dollar store. However, please make sure you get a decent translation such as the King James, the New King James, or the New American Standard Bible. Let the Holy Spirit be the pen that writes God's precepts upon your heart, and may your heart be filled with spiritual notebooks that store the treasures of the Word within it. Also keep available the Holy Spirit's eraser that corrects ideas in our minds and ways in our lives that are contrary to the will of God.

Above all, make sure you invite Christ, through His Holy Spirit, to be your teacher and also make sure you attend His teachings everyday and throughout each day.

Indeed, some lessons might be hard to learn, but you can always pray these words found in Psalm 119:73: "Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments."

And, by the way, your spiritual school supplies have been paid for, by the precious blood of Christ.

By all means, if you have not completely committed yourself to Christ, please do so. Then go to His school each day until you graduate, when you stand before Him Who will place you into eternal service.
