It was a great feeling to have! It was a wonderful song to sing! I can still hear in my mind the congregation of Kearny Assembly of God sing, "He Lives!"

"I serve a risen Savior. He's in the world today. I know that He is living no matter what men may say," was part of the first line. As a very new Christian in 1970, and having come from a background of dead religion along with dabbling in satanism and pantheism, those words struck a responsive chord in my heart.

With Holy Bible in hand, I would walk the seven or eight blocks to and from that church, often singing those hymns that became so real to me.

He lives, and that is indeed good news. It means our God, through Jesus Christ, can live within us. If we permit it, we can hear Him. We can sense Him directing us in every matter of our life.

He is right there when we sin, and is will forgive, cleanse and justify us if we are truly sorry, confess that sin and repent of our actions.

He is inside of us, if we are truly committed to Him. And, if we are truly His, we reveal Him on the outside.

While we face the onslaught of trials without, He can dwell within and strengthen us by His Holy Spirit.

And, if we remain in Him, He will remain in us and will receive our spirit when our body expires. His Word then assures us if we are in Him, we will be raised to life Eternal -- a life indescribable, but one to die for!

Note what Paul says by the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 15:19-20: "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept."

I hope and pray that whoever reads this does truly have Christ dwelling within. If this present life is all there is to existence, or we face re-incarnation, indeed we are in a miserable state.

We must know, fully commit, to Him. Make sure Christ does dwell within. Make sure that He will not say to you, "Depart from me. I never you."

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments." -- 1 John 2:3.

If you are not keeping His commandments through His life within you, go to the living Christ now for forgiveness and cleansing.
